What a lovely few days we have had here at 'Le Pavillon':

beautiful wine, beautiful village, beautiful scenery, beautiful swimming,We splashed in the river, lake and sea!

We were introduced to sailing on the lake (Salagou) which was a new experience for us and one which we thoroughly enjoyed.

We will be back to explore further and enjoy the rustic charm.

Arrived by Taxi from Montpelier Gare and managed our entire holiday without a car.

Enjoyed local bus rides to Pezenas and Grau d'Agde, subathed in Med. at 30+C - fantastic!

Home is beautiful, people friendly. What better way to relax than by the river with a makeshift fishing-rod.

With 2 family members that have never been outside the UK before - what better way to spend your 71st birthday!

Great time had by all!

'Le Pavillon' has been above all the multitude of experiences, visits, wines, meals, markets and all else - a truly authentic French experience. Contrasted starkly with the hustle, tourist traps of Nice and the Cote d'Azur, this well-maintained and serviced 15th century house has all the charms and intrigue of the stereotypical English dream of the South of France - the vineyard covered countryside, the smell of fresh croissant in the mornings.

I find it beautifully charming - the living in a Monet painting, everything I could want from a holiday.......

June 2007

We have been here for a week - one of our nicest holidays.

We have enjoyed a relaxing time in this lovely house and visited many local places including: Pezenas with its colourful Saturday market, and numerous antique shops, played Golf at Cap d'Agde, swam in the Mediterranean at Cap d'Agde, where we also dined on lobsters in the Beach Bar/Restaurant there.

We swam and canoed in Lac de Salagou, walked through the vineyards from the village to the Hérault , enjoyed local wine-tasting at Mas St Antoine, visited the ports at Marseillan and Meze and had a spectaclar meal of the local Oysters and shellfish in a roof-top restaurant (Grand Bleu) in Bouzigues ................

July - August 2006

We are 2 families for this stay, ranging from 7 - 50(ish).

Most of the entries preceding ours say it all, I just wanted to add to the general sentiments that it's a lovely place to stay, both Le Pavillon and the village, with plenty to do nearby and less near. The best swimming was in L'Herault down the hill or as we came to prefer, by the bridge going out of the village on the Pezenas road.

We are 2 families from Canada, 4 adults & 4 teens aged 13 - 16. We used this beautiful house as a living base, leaving every morning and returning at night.

With rental cars from Beziers we travelled to Pezenas, the beach at Cap d'Agde, to Nimes amphitheatre and the temple, then on to the aqueduct at Pont du Gard etc. etc.........................

We feel blessed to have found this wonderful house. We slept well here.We must return, our first trip to France has us dreaming about when we could return.

Lovely little village, locals friendly and many places of interest to visit .....

Pézenas is a much bigger town than you think. 'La Tavola Caloa' serves massive

meals - side street restaurants are very well presented and worth looking out for.

July 2006

Spent a wonderful 2 weeks at Le Pavillon. Very friendly locals and we enjoyed our visits to the bakery every morning.

Visited the bars in Pezenas and and had fun swimming in the local river and the lake at Salagou as well as visiting the vine yards and trying out the local wines.

The house is very welcoming and authentic with all the ameneties & comforts. We will miss the bells when we go back as you do not need a watch in France.

Such a short time here, but oh, so sweet! The house is extremely welcoming and very central for touring.

Meze is thoroughly recommended for a walk by the sea & a coffee.

Several very good domaines for wine tasting........... The bar here in the village is very accommodating and friendly - could have done with longer to do it justice.

October 2004

We spent a wonderful week at Le Pavillon, just relaxing in the house and strolling around the village is a lovely way to pass the time, but also enjoyed our visits to Pézenas (Saturday morning market, people watching over coffee in the Café des Arts, eating at La Pomme D'Amour), to Montpellier..........

The people in the village have been extremely friendly and everyone greets you with a 'bonjour'. We spent and idyllic afternoon cycling along past vineyards before picnic-ing by the river watching kingfishers swoop, and fish (salmon? trout?) jump, listening to the rushing water with not a soul around.

April 2005

Everyone was so friendly in the village - we had no language problems whatsoever. I'm OK at spoken french and Sue was very good at understanding so we certainly complemented one another on that score! We had great fun starting every sentance with "Je parle le francais juste un peu"!

The boys were exceptionally good and we took them to the beach at Agde..........

We went into Pézenas and Béziers and also visited the caves at Grotte de Labeil where we were treated like VIPs because it had only just opened for the season and we were the first visitors. The boys were fascinated by the stalagmites & Stalagtites and a good time was had by all.

We also went to "Origines et évolution de L'homme" at Meze - that was great too..............

This house is a wonderful village "haven" and we found the locals very welcoming and helpful......

This holiday has been a different experience for us - one where we sampled the true French way of life - it has been thoroughly enjoyable. The weather has been fantastic!
